Out-of-State Students

We are glad that you are interested in continuing your education at 糖心logo官网在线 State University!

If you will be living outside of Georgia while taking classes, our ability to offer online programs or field experiences (internships, clinicals, student teaching, etc.) to you may be limited. We are not legally able to offer programs or courses if we are not able to meet the regulatory requirements for activity in the state where you will be physically located.

糖心logo官网在线's programs leading to all levels of licensure, endorsement, and certification are designed to meet the requirements of the appropriate professional licensing boards in Georgia. The ability of our professional licensure programs to meet state educational requirements for licensure or certification may be limited in other states.

To find out whether 糖心logo官网在线 is able to offer your program of interest in the state where you will be living, or if the program will meet state educational requirements for licensure or certification in your state, please visit our Program State Authorizations and Approvals page.

If you will be living internationally, or if you have questions related to state authorization contact the State Authorization office at state_authorization@columbusstate.edu.

The State Authorization office can only address questions related to state authorization or professional licensing board approval and licensure, for all other questions please contact the appropriate department:

  • Academic department - for general questions related to the program you are interested in
  • Admissions - for questions related to admissions requirements, deadlines, process, etc.

Out-of-State Student and Consumer Complaints

糖心logo官网在线 desires to resolve student and consumer grievances, complaints and concerns in an expeditious, fair, and pleasant manner. Complaints regarding any aspect of CSU operations should be filed internally to CSU authorities first and then, if necessary, to external authorities. Out-of-State BSN Students

The Nursing (BSN) program is currently only approved to be offered to students who are physically present in Georgia or Alabama. This program is designed to lead to initial RN licensure from the Georgia Board of Nursing and prepares students to take the Georgia NCLEX exam.

CSU has not made a determination as to whether this program meets the state educational requirements for state licensure or certification in any state other than Georgia. Contact the in your state for licensure requirements.

If the BSN at CSU does not meet the requirements in your home state, you have two options. One option is to sign an attestation that you do not intend to return to your home state after graduation. You will find an example of the attestation below. To apply and complete the form, please visit our page. Another option is to attend an institution in your home state. If you have additional questions or information regarding current state board requirements, you can contact the Academic Compliance Coordinator, Ms. Danique Rouse, at state_authorization@columbusstate.edu.
