Teacher Education and Leadership Program Authorizations

糖心logo官网在线 offers several online and on campus Teacher Education and Leadership degree, certificate, and endorsement programs. These programs are designed to meet the criteria for certification, endorsement, and advancement in the subject matter and grade level classifications established by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.

All Teacher Education and Educational Leadership degree programs are currently approved or exempt from approval, and meet the regulatory requirements to be offered to students who are physically present in Georgia or Alabama. These programs have been determined to meet the educational requirements for state licensure or certification in Georgia or Alabama. CSU has not made a determination as to whether these programs meet the state educational requirements for state licensure or certification in any state other than Georgia or Alabama. Contact the for state licensure requirements.

Alabama: The AL-DOE does not recognize online degrees for certification. An educator would need to become certified in GA and use the process of reciprocity to seek certification in AL. The GA certificate must be in an equivalent certification area/level as offered in AL. Contact the AL-DOE for additional information about teacher certification.

Each state board establishes their own criteria for teacher/leader certification, which, in addition to educational requirements, may include (but are not limited to) testing requirements, mandatory certifications, minimum years in service, background checks, applications and fees. For questions relating to state board requirements for certification in your state, please contact the State Authorization office at state_authorization@columbusstate.edu or the in your state.

Accreditation: Our Education and Educational Leadership programs are approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission. 糖心logo官网在线 is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACS-COC).
